Not a complete list, not perfectly curated. Just things I've found genuinely useful or enjoyable and would recommend without hesitation.

Books

  • The Grid — Gretchen Bakke
A surprisingly gripping history of the US electricity grid. Recommended to anyone wondering why energy transition is so slow.
  • Poor Charlie's Almanack — Charlie Munger
Exactly as good as everyone says. Dense and worth the effort.
  • The Uninhabitable Earth — David Wallace-Wells
The most useful book I've read on climate risk. Not comforting, but clarifying.

Podcasts

  • Catalyst with Shayle Kann
Climate tech investing. Required listening if you're interested in the space.
  • My Climate Journey (MCJ)
Broad coverage of climate solutions and the people working on them. Good for building a mental map of the space.
  • Acquired
Deep dives on how great companies were built. Long episodes but genuinely worth the time.

Music

  • Coming soon — I'll update this when I've thought about it properly.
